Firstly, I just want to thank Tara and Peter for being so full of joy on their wedding day! You would have never guessed that the day started off with a tropical downpour. Just as we arrived at the private residence inside the gated community of Lyford Cay where both bride and groom were getting ready, the sun pushed aside the storm clouds and starting shining. The calm and collected bride with her bouquet of dendrobium orchids and groom in hand shared a moment in the garden, overlooking the golf course. I always suggest couple’s consider doing a first look, and I was so happy when Tara & Peter revealed they had planned to meet in an area overlooking Lyford Cay’s picturesque golf course for some formal portraits before family and friends would congratulate them after the ceremony. The heartfelt moments they shared in the privacy of the garden were so very natural and beautiful.
We didn’t have far to travel as St. Christopher’s Church where they would share their vows was just around the corner. They tied the knot in front of family and friends to the sound of a live gospel choir that filled the air with rejoicing love and happiness, before cruising off in a baby blue corvette to the Lyford Cay Clubhouse. Guests following them to the reception at the Little Club were welcomed by elegant white floral centerpieces of orchids and tropical palm fronds, with a natural island theme designed by Wildflowers Events & Occasions. Their beautiful three-tier rustic wedding cake baked by Ann Lever, was accented with white white orchids to match the bride’s bouquet. They say it’s good luck for it to rain on your wedding day, and the luck continued with bright clear skies for the rest of the reception.
Congratulations Tara & Peter, I wish you many years of love and happiness as husband and wife!
